How to get to the First Aid Coach Facility

We run daily courses at our first aid training centre. Our facility is located in the heart of Liverpool.

By Car

Drive South Liverpool Road and Hoxton Park Road, then continue towards Bigge Street. The trip usually takes around 10 minutes depending on traffic. There is council-operated parking near the rear of 171 Bigge Street

By Train

Heckenberg does not have its own train station, so the easiest train connection is via Liverpool Station. From Liverpool Station, First Aid Coach’s first aid training facility is around a 5-minute walk along Bigge Street, making it simple for students connecting by train from nearby suburbs.

By Bus

Bus route 827 provides a direct connection from Heckenberg towards Liverpool Station, with services running from stops around Matthew Avenue and South Liverpool Road. From Liverpool Station, it is only a short walk to Suite 5, Level 1/171 Bigge Street.

First Aid Training FAQs for Heckenberg

Yes. Heckenberg Public School is a natural local anchor for parent, carer and family-focused first aid training. Courses for Heckenberg families can focus on everyday child-related emergencies such as choking, asthma, allergic reactions, playground injuries, burns and what to do while waiting for an ambulance.

Jindabyne Street is close to key local facilities, including Heckenberg Public School and the Frank Oliveri Community Centre. For groups using this part of Heckenberg, practical first aid topics may include CPR, fainting, falls, cuts, breathing difficulties, food-related allergic reactions and incidents involving children or older visitors.

Yes. Community centres often host family activities, meetings, support programs and local gatherings where a medical incident can happen without warning. First aid training helps volunteers, organisers and support workers at Heckenberg-based activities respond calmly to injuries, sudden illness, asthma, anaphylaxis or collapse.

For Heckenberg households, useful first aid skills include responding to choking, burns, bleeding, asthma, allergic reactions, seizures and falls. These skills are relevant at home, around school pickup, at Whitlam Park, and during family visits to nearby playgrounds or community spaces.

Yes. Heckenberg has a strong community-service feel, so first aid training can be valuable for volunteers, support workers and informal carers. Training can help them recognise warning signs, give basic care, call emergency services and keep someone safe until professional help arrives.

Yes. Outdoor areas such as Whitlam Park and the Heckenberg/Busby Walk can involve heat stress, falls, asthma flare-ups, dehydration or sudden cardiac arrest. CPR and basic first aid training can help locals act quickly if someone collapses or becomes seriously unwell during exercise or outdoor activity.

A Heckenberg community group may benefit from a course that covers CPR, defibrillator use, choking, asthma, anaphylaxis, bleeding, burns, seizures and falls. For groups involving children, seniors or people with disability, training should be practical, plain-English and focused on real situations that may happen during local programs or events.
